The History of FileZilla

Sorry about not posting for two days; I was on vacation. Now that I’m back, let’s delve deeply into the rich history of FileZilla, a tool that has become a cornerstone in the world of file transfer protocols. FileZilla's story begins in 2001 when Tim Kosse and two of his classmates embarked on a computer science class project. The goal was to create a free, open-source FTP client that could compete with existing proprietary solutions. At the time, many available FTP clients were either costly or lacking in features, particularly in terms of security and ease of use. FTP, or File Transfer Protocol, is an essential network protocol used for transferring files between a client and server on a computer network.
